Lorenzo Arbildo Ubillus - Washed - Geisha - Peru

Sparkling, expressive Geisha with perfumey apple blossom, fresh pear, and vanilla sweetness.

Lorenzo Arbildo farms 2 hectares at Finca La Naranja in Chirinos, Cajamarca, where high elevation and careful work shape expressive coffees.

Lorenzo Arbildo Ubillus’s washed Geisha comes from Finca La Naranja in Chirinos, Cajamarca, where the high elevation of around 1900 m a.s.l. helps shape a cup with clarity, lift, and elegance. Lorenzo owns and operates the 2 ha farm, and the importer notes a strong focus on organic and sustainable practices, including compost and bio-fertilisers.

In the cup, this is a sparkling, juicy Geisha with perfumey apple blossom, delicate fresh pear flavours, and vanilla sweetness. It is the kind of profile that makes Geisha so compelling in the first place: aromatic, refined, and expressive without feeling heavy. Cafe Imports’ current listing for this lot also points to pear, floral character, and mellow fruit-like sweetness, which fits closely with the direction you have chosen for the release.

This lot is processed as a washed coffee, with cherries selectively harvested and fermented in GrainPro bags during processing. That controlled approach helps preserve the coffee’s clean structure and keeps the floral and fruit notes clear in the cup. The importer’s washed process notes for Peru also describe the broader style as careful depulping, fermentation, washing, and drying, all of which tend to emphasise transparency and precision.
